Our Lean Green® program was designed to save our customers money by streamlining their waste and recycling processes and incorporating strategies that would have otherwise been overlooked.

Although the program was initially marketed towards industrial, commercial and institutional clients, the decrease in environmental impact and financial savings the program offered quickly became popular in the construction and demolition sectors as well. 

What is the Lean Green® program?

Greenway Eco Services is dedicated to ensuring that all of our customers benefit from all the recycling services we offer. Conducting a waste audit or deciding how to manage your waste independently can be a difficult and time-consuming task.

This is why we developed our Lean Green® program, Ontario’s very first free recycling audit and consultation program. This program is offered free of charge to all our existing and potential customers and includes a recycling audit conducted by a professional in the waste and recycling field.

What really differentiates the Lean Green® program is how Greenway will increase the degree of involvement between us and your business and manufacturing processes. By incorporating our knowledge of waste and recycling into your production and operational processes we can accurately determine the largest sources of waste and how to reduce them.

This entire process will increase operational efficiency, reduce waste and create the leanest possible production environment.

Depending on your industry and production processes, the various materials recovered from your facility will be recycled into a variety of different materials and products. Some of the products we recycle are listed below:

Advanced Tracking & GPS

Our state-of-the art software allows us to monitor the progress of our trucks throughout the day.

Complex sensors and software relay information such as how much a truck is idling throughout the day or when its PTO system is in use. This allows us to keep track of drivers’ habits, eliminate aggressive driving and idling and keep our customers updated with current information.

Another feature is the ability to monitor traffic patterns and automatically accommodate route changes to avoid long waits and excessive idling. To ensure reliable, uninterrupted, environmentally friendly service, we have incorporated technologies into our equipment that allow us to operate as efficiently as possible, reducing our carbon footprint drastically.

Our major achievement has been to implement the newest emissions technologies in our vehicles while maintaining functionality and reliability in our fleet.

Selective Catalytic Reduction

The most recent technology we have adopted is the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system and is currently installed on our fleet trucks. SCR technology is able an emissions-reduction technology with the ability to deliver near-zero emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), a smog-causing pollutant and greenhouse gas. With the recent addition of these technologies are trucks are able to operate approximately 10-30% more efficiently than older models, therefore reducing emissions, using less fuel and passing the savings onto the customer.
